Recruiting for the Position of 'Head of Human AI Solutions': Artificial Intelligence is Spawning a New Wave of Professions

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has raised concerns about it becoming a 'job killer,' but this technology is creating 640,000 new AI-related jobs in the U.S. between 2023 and 2025, including roles like AI supervisors and engineers. LinkedIn’s analysis shows AI-related positions grew by 49% in the past two years, with 225,000 AI supervisor roles filled. These jobs span from senior AI strategy roles to hourly-paid tasks such as data annotation, where individuals label data to train AI models. Industries like finance, healthcare, and manufacturing are also hiring AI talent to leverage this technology. For example, Zach Kinzler, a former business analytics graduate, became the 'Human AI Solutions Lead' at BoodleBox, training clients and improving colleagues' productivity using AI. The U.S. labor market faces uncertainty over whether AI will replace white-collar jobs, with reports suggesting AI could automate up to 25% of working hours. However, data shows employers are increasingly hiring AI specialists, with AI-related positions now accounting for 3.4% of recruitment posts—a more than doubling from 2023. While some jobs, like data annotation, are part-time, they offer flexibility and financial stability, such as Daniel Millian’s side job as an AI trainer earning between $90 and $200 per hour. Others, like Victoria Chapa, find the work challenging but necessary for financial survival. The debate over AI’s impact on jobs is ongoing, with experts noting that while AI may replace some roles, it is also creating new ones requiring specialized human skills.
